It is an impressive abundance of vegetation specific to the oases of the south. In the middle of the palm grove, marvelous earthen fortresses still retain their beauty of yesteryear. Each has its own story that recalls the way of life of the local community. The most famous is the Amridil Kasbah built in the 17th century. Others are also of great importance such as the Kasbah Ait Aabbou and Ben Moro. This territory  represents a crossroads of cohabitation between Amazigh (Berbers), Arabs and Jews. The latter have left traces of their lives as evidenced by certain architectural motifs on the facades of the Kasbahs, crafts, the cemetery, places of worship, rites.

Have a mint tea with local before heading to the entry to the deep Sahara dunes of Erg Chebbi, Erfoud. The driving will take about 5 hours. You will have some stops for visiting on the way. You will first stop in Kelaa Megouna, which is known for the production of cosmetic products using the extract of the local grown roses. Continue northeast to the city of Boumalne Dades to see the beautiful Kasbahs with a panoramic view of the Valley and the mountains beyond.

Afterward, you will head for the Todra Gorges, 300 meters high and one of the most impressive Moroccan sites. The Todra Gorge is one of the premier climbing and trekking destinations in Morocco with high walls offering hundreds of routes of sport and multi-pitch climbing.
